What's the difference between an OSX kext and a Linux driver?
Since they both use a Unix "source code" could a Linux driver be modded to work in OSX?

With the source code you might be able to port hardware drivers from Linux to OSX's version of BSD but it would take some in-depth knowledge of both platforms. Depending on the complexity of the driver you might end up putting in as much work into it that re-writing it from scratch would seem like a better idea.
