Are you saying that your touchPAD only has one axis and only moves side-to-side? And your touchSCREEN is doing the exact same thing? Your problem description is frustratingly imprecise.

I think we need to see the contents of /var/log/Xorg.0.log now. Do you mind posting it here so we can take a look at it? Thanks.

OT: Only my TS is doing that, my touchpad works fine, will post the .log later, i'm on my GT780 atm.

These calibration numbers you posted here seem suspicious of a bad touchscreen:

Code: Select all

Section "InputClass"
Identifier "calibration"
MatchProduct "LBPS/2 Fujitsu LifeBook TouchScreen"
Option "Calibration" "73 891 1041 1041"
Option "SwapAxes" "0"
EndSection
[/quote]

I won't have access to Linux or Toughbook till Sunday morning but the above numbers are very suspicious.
Just my two cents from the left coast.

At a minimum you have a bad element in the touchpanel or a bad cut and paste. Cleve is correct.

1046 in two places means no movement on that axis.
Fair for you/ Fair for me.
I chose to NOT be organized.

Yeah those last two values are min-Y and max-Y, vertical axis. One last thing I would try though is to re-run calibration but click the cross-hairs with the touchpad instead of the screen and force the dynamic calibration. But it does sound like that unit's going to the parts bin, sadly.

That's too bad. If you're handy with tools, it wouldn't hurt to crack it open and make sure the flex cable on the touch panel and the wires on the inverter and touchscreen boards are seated properly.
