Here is a MK6 dual touch.....FYI....

Calibration from menu selected "fingertouch" screen also. This was my second run using terminal xinput_calibrator.

On my system the touch and digitizer screen uses Wacom drivers instead of libinput, so I kludged a xsetwacom command on startup to calibrate it. I just haven't figured out the long-press right-click yet.

I guess I have been out of the game too long. I have a CF-31SBM61DM that I am trying to calibrate.

I have a caddy and ssd that has Mint 19.1 XFCE on it. I set it up in a friends CF-30Mk3 . When I installed the caddy and ssd into the CF-31Mk3 it booted okay and all seemed well until I went to calibrate the TS.

When the touchscreen setting in the BIOS is set to "Auto" or "Tablet mode" xinput_calibrator cannot find a calibratable device. When set to "Touchscreen mode" there is a calibratable device. Going through the calibration process executes okay but the setting don't stick. The calibration is out like it was before doing the calibration.

I see that there is a couple newer BIOS upgrade files available for this unit on the global panny site. Problem is they have to be run in windoze. The BIOS version on the unit is V3.00L13, while the newer ones are V3.00L14 and then V3.00L16.

I think I am going to download a new Mint 19.1 iso and do a clean install. If that does not work then load w7, flash the BIOS then load Mint 19.1.

Any thoughts/ideas or suggestions?

I didn't have calibrator installed. :)
I'm gonna shut down and check bios settings. Meanwhile:

So after sudo apt-get install xinput-calibrator

Doing dynamic recalibration:
Setting calibration data: 151, 3932, 256, 4007
--> Making the calibration permanent <--
copy the snippet below into '/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/99-calibration.conf' (/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/ in some distro's)
Section "InputClass"
Identifier "calibration"
MatchProduct "Fujitsu Component USB Touch Panel"
Option "Calibration" "151 3932 256 4007"
Option "SwapAxes" "0"
EndSection
Fair for you/ Fair for me.

Meanwhile with as many devices installed as shown in your reports above, I'd unplug any peripheral usb devices and re-boot twice...stand-by first while I check settings.

Oh, are you using calibration from the menu or terminal?

Be right back.

I had to go into the BIOS and change the TS setting to touchscreen mode.

morgan@morgan-CF-30Mint19:~$ xinput_calibrator
Calibrating standard Xorg driver "Fujitsu Component USB Touch Panel"
current calibration values: min_x=0, max_x=65535 and min_y=0, max_y=65535
If these values are estimated wrong, either supply it manually with the --precalib option, or run the 'get_precalib.sh' script to automatically get it (through HAL).

I have nothing USB plugged in. The Thinkpad mouse is bluetooth. I will turn it off and reboot twice.

After two reboots:

Option "MinX" "2469"
Option "MaxX" "62586"
Option "MinY" "4757"
Option "MaxY" "65002"
Option "SwapXY" "0" # unless it was already set to 1
Option "InvertX" "0" # unless it was already set
Option "InvertY" "0" # unless it was already set
EndSection
morgan@morgan-CF-30Mint19:~$

I am running the calibrator from a terminal.
