Linux compatible headset w/mike INFO NEEDED

#1 Post by SHEEPMAN! »

I'll start with the incompatible at my level of expertise....I'm D- grade but learning.

Logitech 800 does not play well with Linux. Excellent with Windows XP and 7.

definition: NOT PLAY WELL........means it is not plug and play from either Bluetooth or using the included dongle.
Dongle kills audio but does not reset it after use.

So I need a headset that includes Linux driver or one that the driver is already in the current Linux package. Let's say Ubuntu 12.04 and newer.

Recommendations?

Thanks,

Jeff

Are you looking for USB or Bluetooth?
Try Turtle Beach if USB. See here:

There is always something waiting at the end of the road, if you are not willing to see what it is, you probably shouldn't be out there in the first place.

When I get home I can try out two different turtle beach. One wired, one wireless that belongs to my oldest boy. I have a set of wired Creative Fatal1ty I can test out once I get it all loaded.
