CF-U1 Cyberhawk

#1 Post by Karl Klammer »

just stumbled upon this link and thought it's interesting that they use a cf-u1 instead of say a 5" toughpad or custom hardware.

Go check out the diydrones.com if you haven't run across it already. Got some good stuff there including some that have planes that can auto take off and land. (some still have trouble with landing). You could preprogram a flight and it would do it and return. The onboard stuff they offer has built in gps other needed stuff for flight. I always thought a quadcopter drone and a CF-19 with joystick and video glasses would be a bad combo. I got the glasses of course the toughbook but just never got caught up on other stuff to mess with getting a drone.

I've played with some self-made quadrocopters of acquaintances, as well as with a cheap commercial parrot ar-drone.
they are fun while the batteries last ... which is not long at all.
