VR-1 CPU?

Did the VR-1 come with Core Duo CPUs? If not, can I upgrade it to a core duo CPU?
I don't know the FSB. I found two online. The CPU is listed as unknown. The speeds are 2.0GHz and 2.2GHz.
I've Googled and can only find Pentium-M and Celeron models.
I purchased these believing they were Core Duo. I already have a Pentium-M 2.0GHz Toughbook. It'll be a huge let down if my VR-1 models are not Core Duo.

I think the VR-1 models are Pentium M only. I don't think they got core duo/ Core 2 duo until VR-2.

I think you need to check out this thread http://www.toughbooktalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1006
. Now! here is the good news it is socket type with PGA479M socket. It means it can upgraded like the cf-51. I say the best CPU for this is the T7600 but a bit pricey. I don't have spare right now but I will borrow the one on CF-51 with 2.0Ghz. Remember only with the 667Mhz fsb. Let see how it perform. Anyway, this also can be upgraded to 4gb RAM

That is the XR-1, I think it started it's series with the Core Duo, not Pentium M.

I have two CF-51 I'll be upgrading to Core Duo someday. Is there a hardware maintenance manual available for the VR-1 so that I can upgrade it to core duo?

Pentium M can't be upgraded to Core Duo, the socket is incompatible, the Mk3 and Mk3LL CF-51 came from the factory with core duo, the Mk1, Mk1LL, Mk2 and Mk2LL came from the factory of Pentium M.

And if they are 2.0 Pentium M it will be a waste of time kicking that one up,it goes 2.0,2.13 and 2.26 I believe and there won't be a big improvement. The 2.26 was hard to find at one time. :D
