Great and Great! Seems to be plenty of interest in Itronix stuff. And I'm for having another private forum to share the cool mods among just us girls without all the Ebay resellers jumping on our mods for profit (and maybe not much skill or quality).

I had to edit my posted picture coz I know for the fact that if you are smart enough you will know how and where to start and cracked the code. I want some lurker to having a hard time to do it coz I've been on that, lol. Only core group forum member will do have a previledge to have the detail if he/she ask for it.

Ok! I've done upgrading the the second XR-1 unit with 2.166Ghz T2600 CPU and its work like a charm. The cable also for gps is ready for the module at the top of LCD( run out again of Gps module).

Btw, I just wonder why on the bios it register as "Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2600 @2.166Ghz" only and the core 2 is missing but on device manager it has two under the processor. Anybody can explain that?

So both CD and C2D have two processor cores running at about the same speed. Looks like the biggest difference is more L2 cache and the C2D has 64-bit instruction set. Doesn't seem like that would make a lot of difference in performance for most things.

Uhmm. Thanks, Blair! for this info. I am lazy sometimes to do the search. Rep to you. Anyway, the system is fast with windows seven that I recently installed to play. Initially it create heat but after adding a thermal pad it works perfectly without a hitch.

Blair! btw, I just received today the package and thanks again. I will test the gps in a few days and let you know.
