What's a G1 like compared to the 31 and 19?

Considering buying a G1 on eBay UK just for the heck of it, what are they like compared to the 19 and 31?

G1 has better resolution and better touchscreen---multi touch
Thinner and lighter.
Because it is a tablet, a few things are missing--SD card reader for one.
Only one usb port.
I fixed those last 2 issues on mine.
GPS works good.
Memory is not upgradeable
No keyboard, and you need to hold it. I could not find a decent stand.
SSD is upgradeable
I found a deal on a used ikey keyboard dock. Very nice, but the touchpad can get wonky at times.
Power management seems very good.

Basically a 19 without a keyboard then?

The screen is much better - higher resolution and multi-touch on the touchscreen. But the stupid fan is also quite loud. If you're in a classroom-type setting, it WILL annoy those around you.

I'm still trying to find a good Bluetooth keyboard/trackpad combo that won't break the bank as I can't justify the cost of an iKey. :)

What about this? https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com ... SY355_.jpg

Does the G1 take the same charger as the 19 and 31?

Yes
Awesome, a ThinkPad charger should work too then, and I got loads of those.

'nother question: If it has got a BIOS password, how the hell can I reinstall it? IIRC there's only one way to boot up from USB and that's via the boot order in the BIOS, which is impossible to get to if it's passworded.

Then again, I never had a Toughbook that is passworded before so idk!

TL;DR: How fucked am I if it ends up having a password? Door stopper or usable even if it has one?

Have you tried to boot from USB yet?

If it won't boot USB you're kind of screwed.

Passwords are basically impossible to remove on Toughbooks.

FYI:
I am looking for a parts unit if it has both cameras.
