The chicklet keyboards are NOT waterproof at all. Not even the factory ones.
The rubber keyboards are waterproof.

It only should survive rain for me, really.

Well then you want the rubber keyboard. There has been reports that the Emissive backlit keyboard is not waterproof.

It's not even steam proof. Mine was unusable after a few minutes of this:
