Yea and at almost 200.00 for 2x4gb ram I'll probably stay at 32 bit. So be it.

I loaded 64 bit 7 on a MK2 about 3 years ago. It had 4 gb ram and my standard OS tweaks. It seemed to run fine but it had a X2 intel sd as well.

Well since I'm finally getting in the vehicle diagnostic software that I've been wanting, I'll be taking this install a bit more serious than usual. My Cat , OBED2, light/heavy trucks, Alision trans, and Bendix software.

I use my 30 Mk2 for my OBD reader stuff. Only have a OBD 2 readers. Bluetooth and usb cable. Later on when I can swing the close to 2 grand price I want a self learning EFI for my 52 ford where I can tune is as I drive with my laptop.

The holidays (turkey day and Christmas) slowed it down. Then last time home the day I got home the wife went into the hospital. Nothing serious but it looks like soon her gallbladder will need to be removed. She talks to the DR about it on the 27th. Right now it's just about ready to put tags on it and put it on the road. I could put tags on it right now if I had too.

The main things right now to finish up are. Cut out plywood kick panels-cut speaker holes-cover and install kick panels, recover main seat (have the materials already), pull out the original lower seat frame extension and make a new custom one from my pile of 1"x1" tubing. I am wanting it where it leans forward and I can use underneath the seat for storage, 10" pioneer comp sub and amp going under the seat.

Since I removed the original behind the seat gas tank from the truck and replaced it with a tank in the bed I am building a storage box behind the seat that opens forward. I have tested the brakes in the yard and up to about 30 to 35 mph but want to get out on the road and test a few panic stops at 55,65 and 75 mph to make sure the manual disk brakes are up to the task. If not I will be doing a swinging pedal from the fire wall. Install heater box and put a 12v to 6v resistor inline to lower the voltage from my 12V system.

I have some holes in the fire wall that I need to weld up, a few pin holes in the floor board as well. Probably use a my brass block as a backer and just fill the hole with my wire welder. It won't stick to the brass. Drill the hood for the hidden hood pins, one head light ring tab is missing, got to cut a 1" x 1/2" sheet metal and weld it to replace the tab, then drill it. Decide if I am mouting the Pioneer radio in the glove box or if I am going to build a over head panel and put it up there. Plug the hole where I cut out for the shiftier and shiftier linkage. Install the carpet.

The list has got short on it. Later on when I improve it I am looking at a rear end swap. I can go with a 9" from a 57 to 73 ford truck and it will bolt right in. Just need to redo shock mounts. If I want something newer I can go with a 8.8 from a 96 up explorer. That would give me rear disk brakes. Those rear ends also have 31 spline axles and a lot of them are 3.73 with a locker. I am looking for another truck to do. If I don't find one I may just not put another straight axle in. I have a complete v12 jaguar IRS/IFS at the house already that is perfect to drop into those trucks. They are so close the jaguar front mounts line up and you can bolt the front spring hangers to it.

Engine wise right now it has a stock 89 Lincoln town car 5.0. It's a standard output model. I have installed a high rise single plane Edelbrock street master intake, 600 cfm edelbrock carb, Carb roller distributor, Vintage MSD 6A box, Shorty headers, 2.5" exhaust, magna flow mufflers, gennie shifter all hooked to a 1977 FMX then outputting to the original Dana 44 rear end with 3.92 rear gears. Tires are 275/60R15 in the rear.

The parts I am swapping onto that engine later on when I know it's going to last. I have to fly cut the true flat top pistons with no valve reliefs to clear the valves(this can be done while still in the truck) Dropping in a .444 lift 1986 mustang gt cam, gt40 3 bar cylinder heads(after I port them) 1.7 cobra roller rockers increasing lift to .472, changing out the front timing cover and installing a fuel pump essentric so I can mount and use a mechanical fuel pump.

You should see the LED light panel I installed where the single bulb went for the interior light. It's so bright it's blinding at night. I also took apart all the dash lights and converted to LED. Tail light, park and turn signals are all LED now.

Here are some pictures on the type of storage I am talking about. It's a smaller regular cab so I need all the space I can get.

And a few pictures of what it looks like now.

Well have made 2 hdds with Vista on them for the 19 mk2. Crap I think it's the mk2. I remember that it has the best processor at 1.6ghz. Any ways. One hdd is a ssd and the other is a ssd. Both have a 32 bit (because that's all I have right now) vista install on it. Am doing upgrades to serv pack 1 and then 2 on each. Then will do a 7 install to each. 32 bit and 64 bit. See where it goes from there. I'm expecting to have fewer issues with the 32 bit over the 64 bit strictly due to drivers. 32 bit drivers sometimes have issues on 64 bit installs. Either way this is going to be an adventure.

Well so far the diagnostics software is crap.
