Guess I worded that wrong. What exactly did you purchase to replace that? is it a plug and play option or did you have to breakout the wirecutters and solder gun?

not plug n play....

you need to tell the seller that you need the 5v input converter not the 9v input

Here is my decked out CF19........

And the silver latch is 100% better than a black one...I painted mine silver.

Damn, now i'm strongly considering doing this but not sure if I like the outcome.. i'm all for the stealth look.. Would plasti-dip work?

If you mean the latch, Plasti-Dip would be too thick for the latch to still work.

It needs to be paint..I use Rust-oleum texture paint..The color match is almost exact..

I suppose you could carefully remove all the paint and just have bare silver metal..
