Hardening the Panasonic CF-19

I have a CF-18 model, earlier version of CF-19, that looks like it has been modified for COMSEC (communications security) applications. The left side has been extended with a metal box that covers all the ports. It has a power input (and filter?) and a place to put a crypto chip. I would think whoever made those modifications was probably working to some high standard for security with similar concerns as TEMPEST. This might provide ideas what can be hardened.
Maybe I can take some pictures.
