Re: Upgrading cf-31

I have installed the new SSD and 8GB RAM with dual boot XP Pro 32 and Win7 64. But I have tried several times to find and install the right WLAN driver. Can any one please help with this? perhaps a link for the download and a simple explanation of how to.
Rob I contacted Heartland about the GOBI 2000 and they replied that the part number did not include the GPS function. I have replied to the email asking if they have one with the GPS function. :help:

They are simply wrong man... Heartland is NOT an expert on these GOBI cards but check this out here if you need proof (other than the fact that I do have GPS on mine): http://www.gobianywhere.com/sites/defau ... erview.pdf

Looks like Gobi 3000 is out now too: http://www.gobianywhere.com/sites/defau ... 3000r4.pdf

Additionally here is the GOBI 1000 info: http://www.gobianywhere.com/sites/defau ... erview.pdf

Thanks Rob and tomcat57
I have ordered the GOBI2000 card from Heartland for $130. Almost can't wait for it to arrive. In conclusion the panny dealers don't really know what they are talking about and spin a lot of crud to customers like me.
I have updated to windows 7 64 SP1 and frustratingly still can't get the wireless lan working. I have tried about 5 different drivers :headbang:
Please can you help with the right driver or suggest where I might have gone wrong. I really need this function for work.

For that you need to go to the source
Most modern laptops use Intel cards

Product family ,Wireless networking
Product line,Wifi products
Then you select your adapter

I finally received the GOBI2000 card along with a GPS card and antennae. I installed them - hopefully I got it right. From looking at Rob's pictures on his public downloads link I saw that rob had the GPS card. But I am not sure about the antennae connections. On the GOBI I put the grey antennae connection to main, the green to aux, on the GPS I installed the antennae card and put the orange antennae cable onto the GPS card. Not sure if these connections are all correct. Another thing was there were missing the two screws to secure the GOBI card. It is late and I will do the software part tomorrow or the next day when I get a sim. I took some photos of the steps with intentions of posting them when I know it all works.

I didn't really pay attention to the antenna connections because I don't use mine in a dock in a vehicle or anything + it works so I guess I did it right :D
