Robert,

I just checked my SAP system (Since you linked to my companies site lol) and I do have 3 of those fingerprint readers in stock here at my IL office.

Let me know if you need any more help on this.

Thanks!

Hi Rob, thanks for that.

Do you have any info on how the Mk5 version connects in to the machine?

Is it similar but needing the big multi-way cable replacing as well, or does it connect elsewhere..

There are several unused connectors in mine, one close by on the main board (5 way ?), plus three larger ones near the front - but without a schematic I have no idea on their intended purpose.

The reader itself is just USB plus an "installed" signal, so just about anything is possible.

RJ.

Hi All,

My understanding from Panasonic is that the MK5 fingerprint reader is a different cable and connects in a different location and not interchangeable with the MK1-4.

I know Panasonic switched biometric modules from the Authentec module in the MK1-4 to the EVE FA module in the MK5.

I checked through my pictures but unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the MK5 FP module and I don't currently have access to the MK5 service manual.

I am also going to check with my other tech as she may have some pictures of the MK5 FP module.

Thank You
