Circular polariser

I notice that the CF31 spec says that value models do not have the circular polariser screen that the standard and performance models have.

My used mk2 31 value does not have a screen protector. So I was wondering if the screen protector is the circular polariser? Or is it just that the seller removed the screen protector and the screen is a different version.

I will guess that the polarizer is part of the touchscreen.

I've seen this rare creature... They are usually on Navy units... They give everything a blueish hue when looking at it with the screen off.

Not sure where or when you'd get one.

There are also CF-53's out in the wild which I've sold that say "No AR Coating" in the description... Anti-reflective coating...

Thanks!

Thanks for your replies.

Perhaps I have misunderstood; I had thought that the circular polariser is standard on all but the value models...

Another question then, is do all models including the value models come fitted with a screen protector when new?

i believe that the circular polarizer is not a part of the "screen protector" (that thin film that is on the surface of the glass , call it "anti scratch) .
the polarizer(s) are an integral part of the touchscreens and LCDs and must be installed in the correct "pairs" .
after you have been around a bit , you will see mention of these screens and the problems that can happen .
... i call it "techicolor swirlies" ...

i have seen "plain glass" inserted to make up for the removal of a touchscreen .
