Shawn,

Thanks for the update.

On the win 10 upgrade from my win 7 rig, I copied the entire util folder to an external hdd.

I did a clean install of win 10 once again. Using the Panny app installs, from the backed up ulit folder, I was able to get almost all of the Panny apps installed with no problems. The only one that would not install was the "Dashboard" app. I went onto the Panny drivers site and downloaded the Panny PC Settings Utility app, it's "dashboard" for win 7 and "PC Settings Utility" for win 10, for a 31Mk5 w/ w10 and a 20Mk1 w/ win10. I tried each one individually, both installed with no errors but when the utility was launched it failed stating "invalid executable."

I like the clean install vs the upgrade much better but would really like to get the PC Setting Utility app to work correctly.

If you or anyone on this forum has any ideas on how to get this to work, I am up to trying anything as I believe this is this only Panny specific app I am missing.

Thank you once again for all your time and assistance.

-Nick

All the Dashboard does is give you the ability to start all of the other Panasonic apps from one location or Dashboard. All of the apps are available by using there own shortcut. The Dashboard brings nothing new or extra.

on a related note :
yeppers ... that panasonic dashboard is one of those things that unless you have a penchant for starting/stopping a few panasonic specific items , then it is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine .
i just finished installing 50 odd drivers and such for a cfc1 ...
you guessed it ... i went right down the list , blindly installing , and installed the dashboard .
now i get to uninstall it .
:pat:

there are actually several "drivers and such" for panasonic machines that are really not useful to 90% of the users , these could be omitted .
maybe a list of "not needed" stuff under each model ?
