How about this ? Just cut same female end off and you could attach it. Make it USB style. The one I bought has a plastic cover over the sata interface side. Ought to make it even easier to access that end. Same as mine in the link.

Rung out all the wires.
The data wires are easy because on a CF 30 that connector uses individual wires. Mighty tiny, but they are real wires.
The power comes through one of the 40 pin FPC. I have a 40 pin breakout board coming from Mouser.
