Hard Drive Caddy adapter.

I want to adapt the CF30//31//19//74//52 to a standard sata interface.
I am tired of pulling drives in and out of caddies.

I am looking for the official item.
Is it possible to make one cheaply?
From the schematic, it appears all we need to do is figure the pinout from the caddy connector. run wires to a sata connector for data and power. I don't think we need any components at all.

CN9 is the CF30 motherboard connector for the HDD caddy cable.

Guessing that P and N on the end indicates positive and negative. If I can figure out if T or if R indicates A or B, the rest should be simple.

SATA0TXP
SATA0TXN
SATA0RXP
SATA0RXN

Thanks,
I plan on building a cable assembly using the CF30 hard drive caddy connector going to the standard male SATA connector that you find on a hard drive. Should not be any mods the motherboard itself.

The motherboard schematic just shows me the pinouts.

Have you thought about the cable connectors used in like a HP DV6?

Great photos.

Thanks for the idea, but that adapter is going the wrong direction.
I need the sata drive part to be male. Male so it will fit into a sata to usb adapter.

I have a CF30 hard drive cable and one of these sata extension cables coming. I chose this extension cable because it has all 3 voltage wires on it.
My idea is to cut off the blue circled connector and splice those wires to the sata connector in the blue rectangle.

If that goes well, I can then just plug one end into a caddy and the other into a sata to usb device.

Other wise I will contact Rob and order the official tool.
