Does anyone know. If so, is there some way that you must configure it for output?

from the reference manual

External Display 54

Windows7
1 Click (Start) - [Control Panel] - [Hardware and Sound] - [Sound Playback].
2 Select the sound output destination.
3 Click [Set Default], and then click [OK].

Doh! I found the setting to direct sound through the HDMI Port, in of all places, SOUND! Really, I must have looked here a dozen times; I am not sure how I missed it!

Now I have a discarded 55" Plazma as a second monitor in my office at at the work site. It works great as a stereo, for Internet Programming and of course DVD's. Anyone found a BluRay that will work with the CF-31?

OK, I ordered the newer Sony BC-5550H SATA 12.7MM Blu-ray Combo Optiarc Drive for $41. Now I just have to hope that it works!
