New LCD for CF-31!

#1 Post by RDClaes »

I've had it! I love my CF-31 but I can't stand this 1024x768 resolution much longer! Does anyone know of LCD's I can "swap" out? I'm not going to be too upset if I end up losing the touch screen in the process.

Well, I doubt it. I know on a cf52 the resolution is locked into the BIOS.

It is "possible" just not simple. You'll need to edit the bios and change the resolutions. Then get a better screen and see if it works.
Simple way......sell the cf31 and buy a cf53...

I like this. My thought exactly. But then again I never did anything the simple way in my life. :D

I believe the CF-31 will run an external monitor at higher resolution. If it will and you can find a hi-res display panel that fits the case, you might hook it up internally to the external monitor port. If the built-in touchscreen won't calibrate to the new display you might have to get another touch panel and connect it internally as if it was a USB touchscreen for the external (internally connected) display.

I tried but met with fail...
