CF-31 Touch Pad Question

Good morning everyone,

I finally have my new CF-31Kk3 up and running, what a great machine.

Is there any way to turnoff/disable the horizontal and vertical scrolling on the touch pad?

I have tried tweaking the mouse/touchpad setting with no success and even went as far as removing the VersaPad app still having issues.

After removing the VersaPad appt he scrolling feature was still there, which leads me to believe that app has nothing to do with it.

I never ran into this issue on my 29Mk5 running XP-32.

I am about ready to pull my hair out on this one.

Does anyone have suggestions on how this can be resolved?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Try running a Synaptics touchpad driver/software package.
Here is the official site. Panasonic ones "MAY" work better. YMMV..

Device manager,
Mouse,
Device settings tab,
Highlight Synaptics touchpad,
Click Settings button,
Click on + beside scrolling,
Click on + beside One finger scrolling,
Click on boxes beside enable vertical/horizontal scrolling...

Would you suggest that I remove/uninstall the Panny VersaPad app and install the synaptics in its place and see what happens?

That's what I would do, can't hurt to try it...you can always go back and get the panny one

Yes, I would uninstall Versapad and use the Synaptics software. I like it a lot better.

Shawn & Blair,

Sorry about the delayed response/update on this one gentlemen.

I went ahead and removed the Panny VersaPad app after I downloaded the Synaptics Software you recommended. Now that the Synaptics software is installed, the horizontal and vertical scrolling of the touchpad was greatly reduced overall, what I was looking for, but it still scrolls horizontally on most webpages. Not that big of an issue though.

After all said and done, my 31 touchpad is working better with the Synaptics software for me than the VersaPad app did.
