I was going though the photo album and noticed I forgot to upload this picture. This is before drivers were loaded, the 32 GB flash drive is what I use to load most of my computers. I have a ton of software on it like offline java install, etc. It saves a ton of time.

Back on the rig playing with this combo again. I re-ran the windows index score after installing drivers and a 1gb stick of ram for a total of 1.2 GB of ram. Going to re-run crystal disk mark to make sure it still stuck at a 30 MB transfer speed. If so I brought out some more adapters to change out while keeping the same hard drive and install.

CPU 1.9
RAM 3.3
Video 1.9
Gaming 1.0
SSD 4.9

Video and ram is up from what I started with.

While running crystal disk mark I have it cut down to 36 processes, touch and everything still works.

And I know, I need to get with it and finish up that custom mini 7 iso.

Hey Rob,

What kind of deal can you make me on a 1GB stick of DDR 200 pin PC2100?
One CF-52, four CF-18's, 4.5 CF-28's, one CF-29, five CF-M34's, two CF-37's, one CF-P2 and two CF-P1's. There are also two Getac A320T's, one Fieldpac and two IBM Transnotes. Not to mention the AMD 5600 CPU with three monitors and several HP PDA's. Whew! Must quit buying...no, must have MORE! Then there are the weapons...

These can be found on ebay for $16.00 to $20.00 . I know a couple years ago they were much higher.

ADOR wrote:I just finished my driver loads, Everything is working on mine, including video. Touch is spot on after I calibrated it. I plan on another unit digging out my 4gb CF to IDE adapter to bench mark it to see what I am getting out of it. Going to re-run everything here shortly. I have a samsung SSD that came from a Lenovo from the factory, it has no trim hardware, haven't done the tweaks yet.

I have two other of these units. I loaded windows 7 on a hard drive on one, putting my mini 7 on the 4gb drive so the compare can be with the same OS.

As far as seat of the pants speed right now programs are loading faster than the 74 Mk1 with 1gb of ram (didn't bring enough ram with me).

Any tests you want run just let me know.
Which drivers did you use for Win7 on the M34?

Let me look and see. For hot keys I think I used a newer CF-19 toughbook file, I will be loading the second unit I brought to work with me soon. I will make notes this time.

Also, what wireless card are you using?

Intel 2950 in one, 2200 in the other. I think the third one still has the original 2100 intel in it.

Back to adapter testing tonight. Got the compact flash to sd card adapter in one machine right now. 16 GB drive is in the slot now and it sees it. Going to try to load windows 7 on it tonight. I also have dual mini SD card adapters as well to test out to see how they book, and if I can raid them. My intel Msata made it to the house so my 3rd week at home I should get a chance to test it out. Got vacation my first week home, then got bathroom remodel and bed room re-arrange the second week home.

Got the little beast with the 64 GB SSD back open to swap adapters to see if I can get past the 30 MB cap speed the other adapter had. Here is the info off of the drive.

LENVO PN 41W0517
SATA 3.0 GBPS
SAMSUNG 09-22-2008

I am using one of my old 2.5" IDE to SATA adapters and using the factory Lenvo adapter that came with that SSD. (2.5 SATA to 1.8 SATA)

It's just a tad too long, you would have to cut some of the foam to make it work, testing with it hanging out.

That combo is a scratch, it won't even show up in bios.

Now trying SATA 2.5" to IDE adapter, it's too long with a full size OCZ SSD drive. Even with no caddy in the unit. One of toughtech's adapters where the pens are reversed may help out on that.

Had to pull the jumper and it reconized the SSD. Since it wont' fit I am pulling it now.

Going back to the original adapter, IDE to 1.8 SATA with a Kingston 120GB SSD KC380. Going to reload windows 7 and do speed tests to make sure it's the adapter that is capping. I had a few BSOD while booting with the other one. May be the SSD??? If the other two adapters together would of worked I was going to run a speed test after booting to see what it was getting now.

Windows is loading files, we will see what we have in a day or so.

( EDIT) ( I just tried that 2.5 SATA to 1.8 SATA adapter that 64 GB drive came with and it is not working in a 2.5 portable hard drive caddy. Can't speed test the drive yet.)

I used one of these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/271519946037?ss ... 1497.l2649

and one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ELQ ... UTF8&psc=1

along with the standard M34 caddy. I also upgraded to the 1.25 GB RAM and installed W7 Home Premium (it has everything I need and is not quite as large as Ultimate).

I have everything working except the hotkeys.
