Windows 7 can't connect to some network drives SOLUTION!

#1 Post by Rob »

So I've never been able to connect to either of my SANS over the network. I started researching and I found this from one of the websites I found. You should add this registry value if you are having problems where you are logging in with the correct credentials but it still isn't working:

Once you have drilled down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES\System\CurrentControlSet\Contr ol\Lsa click on LSA in the folders window (left).

Next click Edit \ New \ DWORD (32 bit) Value \

The new Dword is LmCompatibilityLevel and the value is 1

This solution worked for me. :)

Rob,
Have you tried adding the Netbeui protocol that is a part of the XP protocol as well.
