Fujitsu q550 slate pc, mpcie, usb adapter, and ublox7 gps

#1 Post by interestingfellow »

I just purchased a little Fujitsu Q550 atom slate pc, and it has an empty MPCIE slot inside (for a wwan card). I want to know if I can use it for GPS as follows....

Shawn had pointed me to a ublox7 usb mini gps dongle, and I ended up not using it, since I already had a ublox 6 and ttl converter. I also wasn't sure if it would work with s&t since it outputs usb from the ublox chip directly and not uart?

So, will thisVK-172 gps work with Streets and Trips?
Can I use that gps wired directly into a MPCIE slot's usb pins? or would I have to use an adapter as pictured?

Thanks, again, y'all!a
