Calling all Plasma TV Experts, LG 50PG25 Problems

I picked up this LG Plasma TV LG 50PG25 (50PG60-UA) for free from a good friend who had thrown it away because the lower part of the screen had a bit of a "jitter" in it. Not really enough to make it un-viewable, but, well, he is richer and pickier then me.

Anyway, I have this job where I do patrol work in the deep ghetto, where they love to steal big screens so I took it to work. I live there half the week so I thought that it would be a great addition to my office to watch videos, Internet programming and DVDs off my CF-31.

So, at first, it works pretty good when it get warm, but the picture will gradually become quite grainy and color distorted. I made a video of this, and would like you to take a look to give me your opinions on which board(s) are the most likely to be bad.

I have my own pet theories from what I have been able to learn in the last few weeks, but am not ready to spend money without some more learned opinions.

So, what do you think?

Send a message to CWB32 (Larry) on NBR about this.
I am sure he will know.

DUDE... You must have some weird sorcery.... I had this exact model with the same problem I got from a friend for free because they didn't want it. So naturally I took it thinking I could fix it. Long story short, I didn't have time and I tossed it.... I mean, I got it for free but being that it was still only a 720 TV (Yes a GOOD TV, but NOT 1080) It wasn't worth my time. Plasma all the way baby!

Whoooooops! :P

P.S, that thing was a BEAR..... OMG, sooooooo heavy!!!! :P

Wow! Well thanks for the response! I posted this on a AV board and BadCaps and I have not got one response on either, and that is their deal over there!

I just want it for computer use at my office, for what I will be watching it will be fine.

My theory is the S-Board!

And you are right, that is one heavy TV!

Well it appears that this TV has more then one problem, and due to its age is not worth addressing them all. The S-Connect board was one of the issues, but there is also something else going on with it and I am not knowledgeable enough to reason it out.

Thanks again for any and all help.
