Heck it's a twin for the one I got that was junk, so was likely lucky with this one.

Does the fine print saying "not compatible with W7" make a difference?
Fair for you/ Fair for me.
I chose to NOT be organized.

Doesn't matter for my end. It even reads more than "Ford New ocus 2006(CAN)" since it reads my 2001 Blazer, 2000 F150, and the 2015 F250 at the shop. The "The software supports two platforms - DOS and Windows(not include Windows 7)." is more than likely a lazy copy and paste. It lists as 2 platforms, and both are windows. Doesn't mention, until later, that it has programs for crapple and Linux on the disk.
It's who I bought a functioning one from. However I imagine it's like any mass produced in a sweat shop item, and not all will actually work.

Shoot. I just bought a couple more of them. I'll send you one if they function. Least I can do as well as you and the rest of the nuts have treated me.

Ok. Doing updates on a CF-73 that now has W-7 32bit on it. It also has the OBD programs and so far all is functioning well. Even the touch screen is working fine. Not the fastest thing I have but seeing as how it will end up in a tool box and only used for this task, no big deal.

Think it's a MK1. Full number= CF-73ECPAXKM has 512mb on board added 1gb to slot. Doesn't seem to actually have wireless, still have to open and check. Original 80gb hdd. Had a couple laying around and thought what the heck. So far was a worth while effort. Wouldn't use it to reprogram, but it seems to do fine for reading and clearing codes. Dash even works without lag, tach ect.

Yep it's a Mk1 with ATI 7500. I always got the Mk3 model because of the ATI 9000 when I had some.

Pentium M 1.4GHz (Centrino), 13.3"Transmissive TOUCH XGA, 512, 64VRAM, 40GB, DVD/CDRW, Intel 802.11b, Smart Card, WIN XP Pro

It should have wireless, or it did from the factory anyway. If it's 80gb it's not original.

I just sold the CF-30 touch model I was using on my cars. Wasn't looking to sell it but the guy offered 300 straight up so I couldn't say no. All I had time for was to take my software off and rename the pc. Now I have to reload the Mk2 non touch I have to be my car pc. I have found a lot of software for tuning OBD1 ford and chevy cars and trucks so I will be loading all of that on there.

LOL. I forgot that I'd switched caddies. The original caddy XP pro on it that was never wiped. So stuck it on the shelf. Considering the history of this particular one, I wouldn't be surprised to find the card was pulled. Most of the units that I get like this one have had cards pulled. Sometimes taped inside the cover but pulled just the same. Got 2 74's and a couple 51's like that.

I got a couple of 50's in a lot before that had the wifi cards pulled and the antennas pulled as well. One Mk1 CF-18 I opened it up to do some bios work and found everything that could be unplugged was, Lan, modem, wifi, etc. Guess they really didn't want it communicating with anything.
