toshiba satallite wifi issues...

#1 Post by Mxx20 »

So a co-worker of mine has a Toshiba satellite with wifi issues... little history on this...started out as windows 8, someone wiped and installed a screwed up version of windows 7, never worked right. someone else "repaired" it, well they installed 32 bit over 64 and had program file issues for ever and wifi would randomly drop out, we just did a clean install of windows 7 and now the issue is when wifi drops out it says no valid ip configuration, run repair and it normaly corrects it, but sometimes wont. mine C1 occasionally does this but I think it has to do with the work wifi. Does anyone have any thoughts?

What model wifi card?
Stock windoze driver or direct download of latest from manufacturer?
If Intel card..Try Proset as a connection manager..

I would first of all go to realtek web site and get the official latest driver..

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/dow ... l=4&Conn=3

Then take the laptop to McDonald's or Tim Horton's with free wifi and test it out.
Life will beat you into submission.
