OT Lightning and fires.

#1 Post by SHEEPMAN! »

I have been and will continue to be busy so don't get mad if you wrote and I "ignored you".

12+ acres today in my district. Two more south west 6 miles starting at 2 a.m. and visible at dawn.

Luck changed...wind now SW and I have 1 mile visibility. Humidity 15 temp 72 @ 0800. They haven't been able to use aircraft today yet. POI cigarettes will start fires at 17% and below.
Also auto wrecks into the grass, fully involved cars....or auto v.s. ELK as happened two days ago. Auto into the grass there too. No word on the barbecue. Not very funny but it happened....(not the barbecue)

Thanks Paul

I've been watching the dozers build line on Brushy Mt. (headlights)
The numbered squares are square miles. 640 acres each.
Zoom out a little, see Bluerock?(upper right)....that be me.

My CF-30 MK3 saw a little action. GPS and access.

Roughly 10 miles away?
Would it cross 101?
Is your place in danger?
