Hell's Gate in British Columbia is great for white water rafting.

You can rent a house boat and cruise the Shuswap while in BC.

And you get a great exchange rate!

There is always something waiting at the end of the road, if you are not willing to see what it is, you probably shouldn't be out there in the first place.

I have never been, which is sad considering there are several world class rapids in Oregon and they are only a couple hour trip for me. Mainly because I hate water and wouldn't get in a raft like that unless there was a lot of money and alcohol involved. However, several of my friends have gone and highly recommend Rouge River.

It would be easy for me to get into BC, BUT I don't have passports for the kids. I don't think the new girlfriend and her kids have one either. So anything I do is going to have to be in the USA perfer driving distance. But I would drive sea to shining sea in a tbucket so that leave a lot open, lol.

I didn't know how far afield you wanted to go, so I mentioned BC.
You should think about getting everyone papered up and go to BC next year. You will not be disappointed.
Tbucket? Going to be a bit crowded with the kids along, eh? Lol
