EBAY! not worth of selling anymore of cuztomized toughbook

#1 Post by teo »

Recently evilbay imposed a 10% payment for final value fee on which for me I think is ridiculous. Also on shipping fees. I invested to much money on the item I customized and sell on that site. I ended up almost nothing and if you increase the price or add up the increase. Nobody will buy it.

For the seller who sell junk without investment, its ok though but for me. Its not worth it anymore and now I think twice. prolly try to another site like Kijiji or amazon. I have a good luck already for the last couple of months on craigslist.

What do you guys think about this new fees on Evilbay?

A couple years ago I sold on ebay. I only had a few items...they sold out. So...several months later I scrutinized my paypal account. Ebay had been deducting three bucks a month from my paypal account. I had NOTHING listed. I slammed that door by going through paypal and removing the "account".
A thief is a thief and I have "sold" nothing since through ebay. And don't expect to start now.

That's what I think.

I don't like eBay's fees, but that's the way it is. It only costs me $10 -$15 to overnight most computers because I'm in the middle of the us. Love our fedex account!

A day ago. I posted on ebay discussion regarding those FVF and also the Best offer deal on which ebay changed it again for much worst than ever. And you know what? There are I think 8-10 regular there which are all ebay puppet. They said no problem with 10% Fvf. What a stupid people.

I only use it as a place to buy now. 2 years ago was the last I sold anything, it was a gold chain that I bought as an investment in 2000, paid $1200 for it, sold it for $4300, between paypal and ebay fees THEN, it was almost $400, that was when I pulled the plug on selling there, it used to be a good marketplace.

At one point I looked into starting a part time business for my wife, with eBay as the primary market. About the same time I sold my CF-29 and realized how much the FV fees were on top of the listing fees on top of the PayPal fees (same damn company- why are they charging me three times?!?!) and then have to wait almost a full week for whatever money is left to deposit to my checking account? No thanks. When I bought my CF-52, I just gave my CF-30 to my father. He needed one and when I realized how little money I would actually see if I sold it on eBay, it was just made more sense.
