For what you are doing, practically any VPN would do. Most of them should support encryption protocols such as L2TP/IPSEC and OpenVPN. If you're not too worried from five-eyes snooping which may have compromised some of these protocols, then you'll be fine.

I am partial to OpenVPN for its security and Linux support. I think that's what Windscribe uses.

I picked Windscribe because it's free with 10gb data.
