Alex, just upload those to the FTP when you get a chance (one people confirm them) and I'll move em into the public downloads area

Thanks

Well I don't know how useful this is and I am not sure of the protocol here, but one user over that the "other" board has reported using this driver successfully on his CF-29 running Win7. As soon as Santa brings me my EMP-8602+S I will report back as well. :D

Atheros disabled public access to its driver download site at http://partner.atheros.com/Drivers.aspx

Good Atheros drivers have always been hard to find

Rob I uploaded to your public downloads site, and when ready I can post a link to them in this thread

Alex, I kinda recall another member using a utility that can adjust the power of the Plus S cards. Wouldn't that work on W7 or Vista as well?

I can't confim that Ron as I only have that card in my cf-29 ,and that is running XP only
I am quite happy with the performance with my Intel 4965AG card

Other's here that are trying the various drivers will have to report options in Vista and W7

I have gone a different route than others here on wi-fi mods
I have upgraded garbage Intel 2100B and old original Cisco Toughbook cards to 2200bg , intel 2915abg and Atheros cards

And concentrated next on the most important part ,the source of the signal, the access point and bridge repeaters
I have high power 400mw AP with a 13.5db yagi antenna located 100 meters away at one end of the marina and a 600mw wireless bridge router located on the yacht rebroadcasting with a 9db high gain omidirectonal antenna

Well I was surprised to find that the Atheros drivers are native to Win7 when I added a EMP 8602+S to my CF-29N. It was working before I got a chance to try these drivers!
