Thanks Blair,

How about expanding Properties and drivers for the USB input device under HID?

Looks like windows 8 works GREAT on a cf-30. Ive completed my first rig out of 16 today and all hardware appears to work very well. Just in case someone wants to take advantage of the inexpensive 40 dollar upgrades.

I know, late to the party. What can I say. :newbie:

Installed Win7 Ult. onto an Intel 160GB ssd in a CF-30CASLXBM following Toughbook's guide. The only hiccup I had was that I could not merge the GPS fix into the registry until I had set the GPS to 'AUTO' in the BIOS. Probably would have worked setting it to 'ENABLE' but I never tried it. It was originally disabled as per the guide.

I got around the cursor problem (mine disappeared into the bottom right corner of the screen) by using the styles and touchscreen. A bit tricky but doable.

All that is left, other than installing my personal software, is to find and install the drivers for the Sierra Wireless card.

Thank you Toughbook, and the members that contributed to this thread. Made for another painless Win7 install. Good job. :D
