Have you tried this driver yet ? Touchscreen Mk1 WORKING [1 File] http://www.toughbooktalk.com/public_dow ... 20Drivers/
You may have to start all over again. When I went to windows 7 I did the BIOS update first and then installed windows 7 . I never had a problem with anything. My CF-30C MK1 runs W7 great.

Hi, I tried the driver (and much more...) and yesterday I have installed my old XP (SP3) - but I still get the error message. I have no idea how to update the BIOS. I wrote to the panasonic support but I think they won't help me...

Thanks for your help!

You say you get a error message when you click “bios_30_1_r070208.exe”. What does it say?

Hi,
it's the same message I got when I tried to update with win7:
"ERROR: This program will not run on this PC."

luebke5530 wrote:for a detailed installation procedure for the CF-30 MK2, I downloaded all the MK2 vista drivers with the exception of the touch pad, touch screen, and bluetooth, which need to be the CF-30 MK3 win 7 drivers. and install them according to the MK3 installation procedure. (of course skipping the drivers not for the MK2). as for the video driver, you must uninstall the current driver from the device manager, reboot, and run the vista MK2 video driver in Vista SP2 compatibility mode.

i have included the MK3 driver installation PDF.
Hey folks, while trying to follow luebke5530's procedure I'm running into all kinds of problems on my CF-30 MK2. Want to see if anybody has any ideas.

Stuff I've encountered so far on just the first page of the instructions:

1. Sound drivers for MK2 Vista would not install; MK3 Win 7 drivers did though, haven't verified if it works yet though
2. Neither the MK2 Vista or MK3 Win 7 video drivers will install. Tried compatibility mode for Vista, Vista SP1, and Vista SP2 for each (even the Win 7 ones) but nothing helps. I consistently get "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software. Setup will exit" when running setup.exe.
3. Any steps which require going to the device manager and using Update Driver do not work. Windows tells me every time that the drivers it already has installed are the most current and that it's keeping them.

Anybody have any ideas?

I have a CF-30FADAQAM.

s far as the "Operating system not supported" or a "does not support" error... Use Win RAR to extract the contents of the file to a folder and install manually that way.
I guess you tried this ?
3. Any steps which require going to the device manager and using Update Driver do not work. Windows tells me every time that the drivers it already has installed are the most current and that it's keeping them.
When in device manager did you let it search itself for the drivers or did you point it to the C: util/drivers/...(what ever driver you are looking for) ? I have always had better luck this way than letting it look for them.

The OS version errors were mostly in the middle of an install process - no files to extract, really. Turning on Vista compatibility mode helped in some cases, and not in others.

In device manager, I pointed it directly to the drivers. Wouldn't take them, and it doesn't seem to be like XP where you can force it to use whatever driver you want (even wrong ones).

I thought about trying the MK2 install instructions, but it seems like I'm just going to hit the same problem with the Vista drivers not taking. I'm just not clear on why I'm having so many problems where others have been successful with little problems here and there.

Most of us have the MK1 and I never had a problem with my install. Something I am not sure is did you have to update the BIOS on the MK2 ? I know that on the MK1 I did have to. Teo might be able to help you if he see's you post , he does have a MK2.

No BIOS update for the MK2 on Panasonic's site.

Are folks running 32 or 64 bit? I've been trying 64 - think this might be the root of my problems.
