Can anybody here tell me where to access a cmos battery back up for cf-30 or any words how to bypass a bios password on cf-30. This is an anticipation with my newly acquired unit Cf-30 and its on its way but with those problem. I've got it for 600buck with the exemption of optical drive but hdd caddy included. :pbjt: :pbjt: Thanks

Also it has a gps builtin and wireless WWAN ready. :pbjt: :pbjt:

Teo, Its on the motherboard (main pcb). Looks like you can get at it by removing the bottom cover. Page 28 in the service manual posted elsewhere here.

Blair.. I made an offer to a seller 3X untill we agreed for $600.00 but he can't edit the listing with BIN as there are 11bid already maybe you are one of those. Sorry, man! I told him to end the listing and relist it again with the BIN and as soon as he relisted. I pulled the trigger coz I know that there are a lot of bidder watching the auction. I found out after the auction that he is from the island(Victoria) near Alex place.

I was just kidding around with you, I was just watching it to see what it would go for but I thought it was funny how fast it was ended/relisted/sold but when I noticed you got it I knew what happened :D and yes I would of done the same and don't blame you a bit.I am looking for a cheap one but with a Touchscreen.
If my ebay sales (non-toughbook)keeps going up I might get one sooner  Good luck on the CF-30 and let use know how it goes.

Removing the battery will not help out. I have one sitting here I have been trying to get into for a few weeks. Leaving the battery disconnected even a few days will not do it.

No, I was bored with the old one. That's the sign on the town cemetery in Deadwood, SD.
Mrs. Dogfish and I stopped by to see Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane's graves when we were there last fall. There might be a message in the way the arrow is pointing, I'm not sure.

Removed both batteries. Also disconnected input power. One interesting thing is that there is another connector right next to the CMOS battery connector (CN46) It is the same type in a different color and flipped 180 degrees. The CMOS battery connector will fit into it but I haven't deteremined what it is used for yet. Yes, I have tried hooking the battery up to it but didn't find any difference. Still locked out.
