The SSD needs to be a SATA I, II, or III. 2.5 is the size and pretty much like you said, take apart the caddy and swap hdd's. As long as you get a SATA drive it's the correct connection. The I, II or III will get different data transfer rates.

Yes BUT in a CF-19 and CF-30 (MK1, 2 and 3) it is sata 1 no matter if your new SSD is sata 2 or 3.

I have used them but i like the Samsung and Kingston better. Check out www.newegg.com . They were having great prices on SSD.
