So if the default reset doesn't work it's time to start tracing out the caddy plug in's. You can pull the back back off of the unit and then shove your caddy in to make sure that connection is going in correctly.

I reseted the BIOS to default, take out the HDD connector and installed again and plugged the caddy without the black plastic in the front to see if was a bad connection problem. Nothing worked.... :damnit:

As Ador pointed out. Recheck or maybe reseated the two wide ribbon cable that goes to mobo from battery/harddrive connector. If still no change, check F11 beside SD connector.

Maybe a little help.

F11 12A probably printed on the board. May be covered with a cable or something.

O.K. I re-read the title :pat: This is a CF-30MK 1....let me look around for another one. (MK3) Meanwhile check the angled thing with the writing on it.

Teo, I reseated the flat cables and still nothing happened. F11 is a capacitor, right? it seems to be firmly soldered to the motherboard and doesn't shows any signs of being damaged.

F stands for fuse I believe. Check continuity with an ohm-meter.

F 11 S K5H123Y00001 FUSE, 12A, 65V.... From CF-30 MK2 Service Manual

The fix described elsewhere is to piggy-back a 12A fuse on top of the existing one. However that is done. Not for the faint of heart.

I have not done it just heard of it described. Someone may have a picture.

I have piggybacked the large fuses like that one.
I used a home build electronic microscope with a live video feed into my CF52.
