my Mk3 is running Win7 Pro 64, is there any advantage to be gained by increasing the memory to 8gb (or more?)

You're not going to be able to put 8GB in that I don't think...

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it's 4GB max (2x2gb)

Thanks!

thats what I was wondering...... I dont know if its a physical limitation of the motherboard/bios, or if its a OS thing, I've seen mention that 64 bit versions of windows 7 are better with 8gb or more

Nothing to do whatsoever with the OS :)

All on the chipset.

I had 8GB in my CF-30 Mk2, running Ubuntu x64 and Win7 Ultimate x64.

I ordered (2X4GB) SODIMM 667MHz 200-Pin PC2-5300 DDR2 1.8V Low Density 16 CHIP, Notebook memory modules and they worked fine.

I like a lot of RAM...
