CF-30KQPAQ2M touch and mouse.

#1 Post by safn1949 »

Now this one is strange, restored with the factory disc and the touch and mouse are screwy. The cursor stayed in the left lower 1/4 of the screen and was jumpy, touch and mouse would sorta move it and usb mouse was the same.

So I booted into bios, disabled the touchpad and rebooted, usb mouse was fine and touch was dead. Back to bios and enabled mouse and booted, both mouse and usb mouse worked, touch dead.

It was sitting here long enough to log me out and on the lock screen, back to everything barely worked, hit enter to get to main screen and usb mouse and mouse work, touch dead. Log off and it's buggered until I log on.

Well...you got me on this one,any ideas? :pat:

Update,if I try to do anything that kicks the UAC in it goes to the jumpy, useless mouse until I hit enter enough times to get back to the main screen.

I removed the drive I had restored and have my drive from my 30mk3 in here now so it was not the restore job.

Does it have GPS? GPS causes similar issues until you do the registry thingy.

Verify the model in the BIOS? I'm just fishin...

Kerry! I think you've missed the thread regarding this problem. Just clean it up the edges between the ts panel and the bezel of the lcd. Dirt and other elements sometimes is the culprit of that kind of behavior.

That's what I thought but the back and forth thing with UAC is really strange,I don't need the touchscreen as I'll just use it myself. I might take it apart and clean the screen that way.

Kerry! You must do it first on the outside. You will see a gap between the ts glass panel and the front bezel. Overtime dirt are stuck on that area. Assuming that nobody has ever done anything on the inside of the LCD assembly.

Might be in the touchpad. Clean between bezel and pad. Something thin and sticky....like corner of old screen protector.

W7...bios set to auto or tablet.<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<do this first.

TDR-HQ from 92 MB Linux :) on Shawn's 52A....I finally found where I put it.
Fair for you/ Fair for me.
I chose to NOT be organized.
