Use 7zip to extract the files from the downloaded driver to a new folder. Run the driver from there. Usually I run the pinstall.bat It PUSHES the installation via command line...

I don't think a CF30K / mk3 has a Vista bios..Pretty sure the mk3 uses the same bios for all operating systems.
The different bios for XP or Vista is for the CF30 / mk1

Hit F2 when booting and it will be on the first page as you enter the BIOS
One CF-52, four CF-18's, 4.5 CF-28's, one CF-29, five CF-M34's, two CF-37's, one CF-P2 and two CF-P1's. There are also two Getac A320T's, one Fieldpac and two IBM Transnotes. Not to mention the AMD 5600 CPU with three monitors and several HP PDA's. Whew! Must quit buying...no, must have MORE! Then there are the weapons...

Tact... Just Google "Panasonic Drivers" and go to the PANASONIC site. Use the drop-downs to select BIOS & EC, then your model and click search. You can download it there. Make sure you are plugged into mains power and do not interrupt the process. Your BIOS will be upgraded and set to defaults... You will have to F2 it and go in and set the date and time.

I buy a lot of MK1 units and have a drive ready to go running W7 that has the BIOSUP already loaded. As soon as it boots up (and tells me the Misc Driver could not be loaded.) I upgrade the BIOS and then reboot to set the BIOS up. Then I remove that drive and load in the SSD that I want to load the OS to.

If you have GPS installed... Make sure you have it disabled while you load your OS as you will have your mouse jump all over the place if you do not.
Rugged Toughbooks of all types... CF-31s, CF-30s, CF-29s, CF-19s, CF-52s, CF-53s, CF-74s, CF-H2... Hmmm... What else can I buy, build or modify?
