Need HELP to swap the WWan module!

#1 Post by tango »

I'm now using the WWan with a HSDPA module and the Mobilink from Pana site, if I swap the module with a Gobi one , so I dont't have to keep a EVDO module. The question is , I can't find anything about the dip switch setting, and the connection software, anyone can HELP!

Thank you!
Fred

Did you just try it without touching any dip switch settings? Also you said HSDPA - with which provider are you pulling service from? - Try their website for the software?

Thanks

Just swap the module and load the driver for gobi and your set. Gobi module is design for both cdma or hspda. If it doesn't recognized just use trial and error by playing the deep switches. It will not harm the system.

Btw, I am interested on the HSPDA module. let me know.

Mobilink and EU860D belongs to th Novatel , so I don't think just replace the module can work ?
When I am on trip , sometimes I'll change the module to 5725 with sierra's connection software.

I looked on the usa site and the gobi sofware was available for the usa providers
You might look at what provider you have were you live and maybe you will need to download this from your area

There is no Verizon , Sprint , and AT&T in our Area.

I just find the CSA Installer Package V1.00.1200.8280 on ca site for CF-30K, I'll install it and see any thing happen.
Thanks !

What is in your area then? Alltel? Dobson? or some other small provider?
