You can get a couple year old version of s&t on the bay for a fair price.

I understand not wanting to let the cat out of the bag(old saying here) BUT you get a lot more support from these guys if you are WORKING these units.
1. Immediately identify the model #. From the first bios page please.
2. What are you doing?
3. What have you done thus far with/to the system.

This is not your typical forum.....we WILL answer....sometimes minutes, sometimes hours but we will answer. Maybe to tell you to pi$$ off. (rofl) Have not seen that yet.

Mate, Anything to do with Toughbooks we will do all we can to help....and if it is job critical expect a LOT of input.

model CF-30CTQAZBM ser. 7LKSB93790 it has windows 7. i installed this GPS http://www.ebay.com/itm/130754754096?ss ... 1423.l2649
after it was installed i now have a com 3 which i didnt before and i down loaded winfast navigator. it will not pick up the gps. went to bio and gps is enable I/O IRQ 3E8/IRQ11 i tried another settting on the I/O but i have not tried all of them. i put this driver cf30CD M1 WinVista gps_1930_11_d071424 i have a mirror image of the computer when i first got it if i need to wipe it.

changed the baud rate to 4800 and it came on "cool" and it works with google earth. not as fast as my iphone but it will serve my purpose. thanks for the help. how would you get it faster is that the computer or the baud rate?

I need to look,but I wonder if the GPS will work with Delorme? I have Delorme 2014 and their USB GPS. I will give it a shot and report back.

OK then,I have a CF-30mk2 with GPS and it does work with the Delorme program.
2 CF-30Mk3's, 2 CF-71's, CF-L1, 3 CF-72's, CF-73, CF-74, CF-48, CF-50, CF-51Mk3, 2 CF-19's,7 CF-52's, FZ-A1 and other assorted beaters.
