Not all toughbooks have that.

I almost had to on my Cf-29 before I sold it to get my30, but my IT guy sent me almost a whole lower...almost all boards and port covers lol it came in the other day

Any one know what thermal pad is for the30's or size or recommendations....it's getting to be summer and I'm opening it up might as well change them

1.5mm is the correct thickness You will need 2 or 3 1/2 square pads depending on what model you have.
Actually the cf29 uses a putty that comes in a sheet form. I opened a parts cf29 and I took the thermal material off and rolled it into a ball.
Fujipoly is what I came up with to use.

Fujipoly

150-XPE
150 means 1.5mm XPE is the material.
The XPE has a thermal conductivity of 11 W/mK. Which from what I found out is really high performance. Thermal conductivity of 6 W/mK is considered high performance.
