usb ports

Ok,this maybe strange but my side usb pretty started down"low voltage" on the device connected...then quit working, now one port on the backs doing the same thing....I'm trying to figure out the best way of t/s this....

It seems like the usb pcb is or has failed part number DF36U1540GAA. May be some one here has one...could not find one on the bay.

hmm...it was weird its out of the blue but it is what it is i guess...lol thanks... im going to try to get a hold of our IT guy at work maybe he has some canalized ones....but theres no telling..

Anyone know if all the CF-30s use the ssame usb board? my it guy has some out of the mk1's cf-30cxxxxx's

I had one in a CF-30MK1 do the same. The picture that i58sr posted looks the same as the one I replaced. My guess is that they are the same.

my guess to but ive never been in a 30...only several 29's lol....my IT guy says hes got several donor ones he can send me....hope they work!

Yes. All the CF-30s use the same USB board.

that's a good MB design in toughbooks - having daughterboards for external ports like USB, that may be subject to physical/electrical damage, for an easy/cheap replacement.
you wouldn't want to replace the whole MB for that.
