CF 30 Touchscreen

#1 Post by advancedcommil »

I have a CF30 with touchscreen, the touchscreen will not calibrate and seems to be 1/4" off in any direction, I attempted to calibrate several times and finally assumed the touch panel was bad, I ordered a new touch panel and replaced, reassembled and tested, unit works identical to the old touch panel and i can not seem to get it to calibrate. Does anyone have any ideas? Unit is Running the Original Version of Windows XP Professional

Thanks

O.K. good!
I'm almost sure you have a Vista bios.
And you are running X.P?

In device manger look for h.i.d. Do you see two generic drivers or Fujitsu USB touch panel? It will be one or the other......two instances or Fujitsu. (you want Fujitsu) I'll tell ya how.

Replacing the TS is a good thing. eliminates the gray matter and goes to solid copper?leads.

If this is frustrating you, you can call me ......see my dot com the phone # is on there. :) Otherwise we will be back and forth for three days.

Straight up mate, you need to upgrade your bios version.....easy.....I'll walk ya through it. Be advised I am lambing, and may be checking my ewes when you call. PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE. (wish I had it)

BIOS: V1.00L19
EC V1.00L16

I only see 1 Fujitsu Touch Panel (USB) under HID
Driver Date 6/23/2005
Driver Version 1.9.4.5

Thanks!!!

What we want is a re-downgrade to XP. It is found in the above link. V L20/L17

Instructions are in the link. On re-boot it will take a few minutes to write the bios. Then check F2 to bios and see if the re-downgrade stuck.:) Remember L20/L17

When all booted up run the calibration utility [all programs][fujitsu]calibrate...or whatever. You may need to do this twice to get the numbers to stick. Remember to save on exit from calibrate screen.

G'luck. Call w/questions.
