What comes after mup in XP safe mode.

#1 Post by SHEEPMAN! »

New install CF-30MK3. Vista downgrade to XPP.

Gets to a point and re-starts. Safe mode w/command line the last entry is mup.exe? bluetooth?
The very next thing it checks re-sets the computer to boot. Goes by too fast to read it.

Anyone?

I've done default sequence. I'll check ram tomorrow.

It's supposed to have a short (intermittent bad connection) in touch screen. Maybe that?

Thanks,

Jeff

I've seen a MUP error being a Windows XP configuration issue. Might be related to the hardware abstraction layer -- Mnem would know this better. Was this a load from factory CD, OEM, another image, or ...?

Factory. I don't think it's the mup, I think it's the next item.
I'm gonna run a Linux disk through tomorrow and see if anything pops up.

I had a odd error on a laptop at one time. I think it was wireless related. I went into bios and disabled bluetooth, wireless and other stuff like that then it loaded up right.

Good call. This has a 5100agn. I thought maybe the hdd but that's o.k. Lappy likes and runs 10.10 Ubuntu with a touchscreen fault. I'll fix that and then try the restore disk again.

Thanks

Fixed TS, added calwin.exe for calibration. Set up to run Vista. I'm good now but would like a work around for the model not supported bit.
