CF30 Win7

#1 Post by TowerClimb-11FN »

Howdy guys,
So I am having trouble finding my recovery DVD for my CF30 Mk3, so I i just loaded win7 from a non oem disc. I got all the bare bones drivers installed and everything is working 100% (FP reader, GPS, and WWAN) but im missing the toughbook specific utilities like Panasonic PC dashboard, and some other utilities. I tried to load all toughbook specific drivers through the one click utility but it gets stuck at NEED TO PREPAIR, even after leaving it sit over night. Is there an alternative you guys know of instead of downloading all 33 files one by one (theyre loading at about 200kbps at a time) from panasonic or am I just going to have to burn a saturday? Is the utilities even an option to download? Any help would be appreicated!!!

Thanks!!!!!
Shawn B!

Try closing the command prompt window when it gets stuck, works for me.

Hi, Thanks for the reply! Its not that the program gets stuck. The problem is that the dashboard utilities are not on the computer yet and im not sure where to find the downloads for them.

Weird, have you checked the drivers folder on the root of your C: drive?

I've used a Microsoft W7 Generic.

My second step is to run a Panasonic driver bundle from a usb stick. <<this before going online. It's an executable file as downloaded. Drivers end up in c:\Drivers\driverbundlename Like c:\Drivers\CF30MK3W732bitutil2\

Restore disks put drivers in \util.

Download files generally go to \util2.
Fair for you/ Fair for me.
I chose to NOT be organized.
