Going to a sale tomorrow morning where they are to have some CF-50 laptops. Supposedly in good condition and complete with caddy - but HD removed. I'm not interested but, if any of you are, let me know your desires and I'll see if I can grab one/more for you. Just a guess, but probably around $35 each.

Incase anyone needs a refresher these are single core, DDR 1 ram laptops. But you can get them with a 9000 or 9600 ATI card in them. Screens will work to fix a 51 model. They have cd/dvd drive AND floppy drive on them. They take a CF-28 style battery (If I remember right.)

CF-28 battery yes.
CF-29 and later charger though (Same as current)

I was surprised to see they also had a 1394 Firewire port -- Firewire AND Floppy??? -- how's that for "transitional"?

They had two at $20 which, if not sold today, will drop to $10 on Friday. More supposedly available on Friday. Since I hadn't heard back from takers I left the two but most of the computer guys had already seen them and left without them - so probably will be available Friday reduced to $10 each, along with the new batch (which should be at the original $35 price). No power supplies today but might have some on Friday. When they have them, they include the PS at no extra cost. Let me know if I can help.

Original power supply is probably worth $10.00..

I'll take two of the CF-50's, power supplies also if they have. These will be great for the Phillipines.

Yes they do. I have sent 4 so far to the Philippines. So far I think I have sent 30 toughbooks there. CF-50's, 73's, T5,W5, T7,T8's, CF-51, CF-19's.

For my good friend on the rig in Saudi I gave him two older Alienware Laptops I had a M9750 and M5550-R3. We had to do a fix for the video cards but we got them back working. His son may be the only 10 year old over there with his own Alienware to go with his CF-50 with 9000ATI.
