WTB...31/30 Media Bay door lock and release assembly

#1 Post by nmbushek »

Looking to see if anyone has a 30/31 Media bay lock and release assembly that they are willing to part with. Currently mine has a chunk missing but it still locks and releases. Just hoping to replace my damaged one, if possible.

Thanks

Nick

Hi Nick,

Can you tell is this for a CF-30 or CF-31? The release assemblies look the same from the outside but the screw holes that attach them to the unit are in different places on each.

Thanks

The replacement part is for a TB31 mk3

I was unaware that the screw hole locations were different between the 2 models, thank you for the info.

I wouldn't do this!! Don't need water getting in on the other screw holes.

Well I just got a CF31 in today to attempt to repair for someone..
Now I can compare the 30/31 latch assemblies side by side.
The CF31 latch and door is completely different..The actual groove where it catches the door is in a different location.
The CF31 is taller, so you can't even swap doors.
You probably going to end up buying a new latch....
