RTB's Toughbook batteries(Pay what you think they are worth)

#1 Post by R-T-B »

I have several toughbook batteries laying around, 3 of them never get used. They've been sitting a while so I don't know their state, and I don't have a toughbook to test them on anymore. Sadly, one of the things that had to go with the economy was my toughbook collection. My father still has a CF-29 (Lucky Bastard!) but is too protective of it to actually let me test a battery in it.

I'll ship these to you for just the shipping bill, and then you send me what you think they are worth after evaluating them. That's it! No catch. If they are worthless just say so, and you'll only have paid shipping and handling. All at least held a 1 hour charge when they were pulled however, so I doubt your money will be wasted. ;)

Here's what I got:
Batteries claimed by Sadlmkr
1x CF-VZSU18 Blue Tab (CF-50 I think?)
1x CF-VZSU29 Blue Tab (CF-29 and others)
1x CF-VZSU29A Yellow Tab (CF-29 and others)
Batteries claimed by Sadlmkr

purchased
I also have a CF-29 expansion bay "Media Pocket" battery that my father wants to sell. Make me some offers on that one, I know it works and holds a really strong charge. Obviously, that one you pay before you get it.
purchased

Oh, and I've got a floppy drive if anyone wants as well. Asking $15 for that.

To thank Rob for providing such an excellent resource, 25% of all proceeds from this will be donated back to ToughbookTalk!

Thanks for looking!

Heh, thank the guy who pays more. :P If you want to thank me, remember that I'm a nice guy when I finally get money and need another Toughbook! ;)

Sadlmakr bought the batteries, BTW. But the other stuff is still up for grabs!

I'll send Rob his little care package of cash once Sadlmkr decies what they are worth.

Status Report:
Yellow tab is a little flaky and minus 2 hours.
Blue I'm still working with not sure yet.
The good one is the CF-48 battery. It had a little charge when I got it. Might be good for 2 to 3 hours.
I didn't forget you...been busy elsewhere.

Glad at least one is good, shame on the yellowtab though. I think it was depleted when I stored it, which'll kill any battery I suppose.

Let me know when you decide a value, as I said I'll make a donation when I get payment. :)

Not to rush you man, but just wondering if you have any updates?

I sold the CF-29 Media bay battery, so that 25% will be going towards Rob + whatever these are worth when I get more info.
